SEATSERVE wins best pitch at Euroleague Basketball’s Fan XP Innovation Challenge

SEATSERVE was among 10 startups invited to take part in the three-day fan experience event.

SEATSERVE, a software as a service (SaaS) company providing venues, stadiums, and arenas with a complete in-seat delivery solution, was selected as the best pitch at the Euroleague Basketball 2020 Fan XP Innovation Challenge by a panel of industry-leading judges.

Hosted by Euroleague Basketball, the organizer of Europe’s leading basketball competition, the 2020 Fan XP Innovation Challenge sought out startups focused on developing innovative solutions aimed at improving the sports fan experience and bringing new revenue opportunities to venues and organizations. Each solution focused on one of three areas: broadcast-related fan engagement, in-arena fan engagement, and fan engagement through digital platforms.

SEATSERVE was among 10 startups, narrowed down from 84 applicants, selected to take part in the three-day event in Barcelona, Spain, from February 24-26. Each finalist was given three minutes to pitch its solution at the Roca Gallery, before answering questions on company history and profitability. Each pitch was analyzed by a panel of judges from organizations including the SSE Center for Sports and Business, Eleven Sports, and iSPORTCONNECT, who collectively made the decision to award SEATSERVE best pitch.

“We are humbled to be among the winners at Euroleague Basketball’s Fan XP Innovation Challenge this year,” said Shay Dadush, founder and CEO of SEATSERVE. “Our in-seat delivery platform is already providing fans with a next-level food and beverage experience in sports such as soccer. We’re excited to bring this innovation to basketball and do our part to improve the live sports experience for even more fans.”

Participating in the 2020 Fan XP Innovation Challenge also provided SEATSERVE with the opportunity to network with and seek guidance from Euroleague Basketball executives, expert judges, and basketball industry professionals, as it continues to increase the range of sports and venues that it serves globally.
